The annual Sussex Ride and Stride takes place on 9th September.

The Annual Ride & Stride encourages participants to explore some of Sussex's unique historic buildings, raise money for their church as well as for the Sussex Historic Churches Trust.

This year walkers from St Nicholas' will be crossing the South Downs. We'll set off from Arundel's historic parish church and climb to the top of Bignor Hill, stopping on the way at St Mary's church in Madehurst. After pausing to enjoy in the breath taking views from the top of the downs, and a well-earned rest, we'll then descend to the little church dedicated to the Holy Cross at Bignor. Our journey will end at the pretty  neighbouring village of West Burton. In total it's a walk of a little under 8.5 miles and a climb of around 700 feet.
