We rely on your support

We rely on the generosity of our congregation, friends and visitors for the continuing ministry, upkeep and repair of our historically important church.

St Nicholas' is financially dependent on what it receives in donations from parishioners, visitors and friends.

Contrary to what is often wrongly assumed, we do not receive any financial support either from the Church of England nor from the Diocese of Chichester of which St Nicholas' is a part. Indeed, together with all other parishes in the Diocese of Chichester we also contribute to the running of the diocese as well as supporting various Christian charities.

To support St Nicholas' regularly please either join the Parish Giving Scheme (details may be obtained by contacting the Parish Office) or the Friends of St Nicholas'. To make a one-off donation please contact the Parish Office.

It costs over £350 a day to keep the church open, and that's excluding all the major repairs that are currently needed. Any help, large or small, makes a very real difference!
