Fr Brian Cook reads the Gospel of Mark.

Mark’s gospel is widely reckoned by scholars to be the earliest of the four gospels and the major source used by Matthew and Luke when they came to write their own accounts of the good news of Jesus Christ. Mark tells the story of Jesus in a fast-paced and immediate way. Hearing the whole gospel in one sitting really does convey to the listeners the sense of drama and joy that Mark set out to communicate.

The reading takes place at St Nicholas’ at 7.00pm on Wednesday 31st May. Free tickets are available from the Parish Office. Refreshments will be served during an interval.
