Martin Luther ~ 500th Anniversary of the Reformation

On 31st October 1517 Martin Luther issued his 95 theses against indulgences. No one, least of all Luther, could have foreseen the consequences, consequences that are still reverberating through Christianity today.

To mark this important anniversary Fr David will be giving a series of four talks exploring the life of Martin Luther, his 95 theses and why he issued them. In addition, the talks will explore the three great pillars of Reformation theology and the consequences of Luther’s actions.

The talks will take place in St Nicholas’ at 7.00pm on:
Wednesday 1st November
Wednesday 8th November
Wednesday 22nd November
Wednesday 29th November

Each talk will last no more than an hour. Refreshments will also be served.

Whether you love Luther, or loathe him, and there are perhaps good reasons for both, come and discover more about the man who shook Western Christianity to its core.
