Hear the Word of the Lord – Chichester Diocesan Lent Course for 2017

Wednesdays (beginning 8th March) in Lent at 7.00pm in the Church Meeting Room.

The Bishop of Lewes writes: “When we first started thinking about ‘Year of the Bible’ we hoped that, as part of the diocesan commitment to know, love and follow Jesus, everybody in Sussex might have an opportunity to find an activity that helps him/her to develop an ongoing engagement with the Bible and learn a new way of understanding its texts, so that they may more fully respond to the call of God. This Lent Course provides just such an opportunity. I commend it to you.”

The course gives an overview of the Biblical narrative. Running over five sessions the course includes: Bible overview, The Torah; The Prophets; Other Old Testament Writings; The Gospels; The New Testament Letters.
