March 14 - Sunday - Mothering Sunday NOTICES Lent Lunches A simple lunch of soup, bread and cheese will be served following the noon Eucharist each Friday in Lent costing £3; proceeds in aid of Littlehampton Homeless; culminating in a two course meal on Friday 26 March in aid of Christian Aid at a cost of £5. Parish Mission Projects Following numerous requests from parishioners and others there is a display of photographs in the Church from the India sponsored walk in January. The photographs will be on display until March 22, after which we hope to replace them with information about the other mission projects of the parish. As well as our mission efforts for the homeless in Littlehampton and Worthing through Homelink and Worthing Churches Homeless Projects, there is a new mission planned with the Diocese of Peru and we will also be spending time at our parish weekend in May reflecting on our mission in Arundel itself. Parish Weekend If you are participating in the Parish Weekend on the Isle of Wight in May, and have not yet paid the balance of your booking, this payment is now due. Cheques should be made payable to St Nicholas PCC, Parish Office Secretary We welcome applications for this position from people who have secretarial experience, good computer skills (knowledge of MS Publisher is a particular advantage) and who would be interested in the position on the basis of a 20-hour week - flexible hours. Some knowledge of the workings of the Church of England would be an advantage. Please give applications or expressions of interest in writing to the Vicar. Urgent - children's clothes needed Sue Hine would like to ask that anyone that has children's clothes, especially socks, to fit ages 3 to 11 that their children have grown out of, consider donating them to her school as they have some families in great need of these clothes. Please speak to Sue if you can help. Stegaurach Stegaurach Please welcome our friends from Germany who will be with us on 14 March and please feel free to join them for a drink at the Marygate after the service. Our friends in Stegaurach are very much looking forward to our visit this summer and have already got some great plans. If you haven't signed up for the visit, please do think about it: it's wonderful fun as well as forming deep and lasting ecumenical friendships. Everybody is welcome! Not expensive! Arundel Good Neighbours Age Concern West Sussex is looking for volunteers who have one or two hours free each week to go and offer support and companionship to older people in need in our community, of whom there are many. There is an excellent training programme for this Good Neighbours project, which is branching out from a successful introduction in Littlehampton. Computing Help Deacon John donates three days a week of his time to the church and for three days he is available for helping people sort out their computing problems at a modest price. He has twenty-five years experience in the computer industry, ranging from documentation through MS Access programming to web page development.
